At present, the Aspen Acres fire is burning its way toward Mission: Wolf. In fact, the summit that activated on our last visit has already burned. The sanctuary is now using goats to clear vegetation away from the buildings and enclosures, and staff are preparing for possible evacuation. Unless a great deal of progress is made in containing the fire, our August trip to the sanctuary will be canceled. Stay tuned.
Mission: Wolf may soon have critical financial needs that you can help them address by donating online. They are also looking for welders (professionals or hobbyists) who can help them construct temporary enclosures should evacuation prove necessary.
