Volunteer Training (Outdoor Leadership 101, 201 & CARP)
November 11 @ 9:00 am - November 12 @ 5:00 pm
This free, two-day training (9 a.m. to around 5 p.m. each day) includes all of the training, except first aid, that is required to become a certified outings leader with ICO.
We will cover the process for developing and getting approval for an outing, running an outing successfully, and post-outing reporting. We’ll also cover child abuse recognition and prevention.
For outings leader certification, the Outdoor Leadership portion of the training must be renewed every 4 years. The Child Abuse Recognition & Prevention (CARP) component must be renewed annually but can be renewed online.
The live training is great way to meet your fellow volunteers. Lunch will be provided.
