Snow Caves & Snowshoeing in the James Peaks Wilderness – cancelled
February 20 @ 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
Free
Difficulty: Easy | Client Agencies: All ⟫
We will drive up to the Moffat Tunnel trailhead west of Rollinsville (a 50-minute drive), strap on snowshoes and head up into the beautiful winter forest. We’ll stop at out special secret location about a mile in. There we will dig cozy snow caves, eat lunch and drink hot chocolate. If conditions are right, we can belly-sled down the hill. This is an easy and fun trip focused on snow play in the wilderness.
