TRIP ORGANIZER DASHBOARD
This is the hub for volunteers to organize trips. View the Checklist tool for a quick summary of the steps in organizing an outing for Boulder Valley ICO. Note that grey buttons take you to resources that require additional credentials; green buttons take you to instructional material. Click here for instructions on how to get those credentials.
View trips and attendees.
Review how to plan an ICO Trip and check our library of common outings.
Make a permission slip, safety plan, and trip planning document. Put them in a folder under Active Trip Planning for the current year. Insert short URL and QR codes to help get parents to event registration easily.
You should create a trip posting on this website if one does not already exist for your outing. Members of the Sierra Club should also create a Campfire event for the same outing to accept online signups.
Prepare a budget for your trip.
See if we have the gear you’ll need.
Request approval for your outing using the request form. Your trip is approved when there are 3 or more dates marked in Columns I to M of the Trip Approval Decisions worksheet. We will contact you if there is a substantive hangup on trip approval.
Announce your outing to our agency representatives, notify parents directly using Remind, notify BVICO volunteers by email using our listserv, and get help from the chair or outings manager if you’re stuck.
Request reimbursement and report trip data.
